The historic Denniston Hill Truss Bridge overlooking a completely undeveloped, wild and scenic section of The Neversink River.
Think of this as a GOURMET PICNIC you don’t have to shop for, set up or clean up. Guests will move from station to station where they will make or receive small plates to take to nearby seating. All food & libation stations will be set up ON the bridge.
Picnic Table & Cocktail Table seating will be distributed around the bridge and river.
Limited use of folding chairs and stools will be available too. Guests can stake their own claim to a river bank by brining picnic blankets and/or lawn chairs. The setting is primitive but the set up will not be. You wont be forced to stand or squat on a stump but there will not be seating for every single guest 100% of the time.
The style is very casual and the space will be laid out in such as way as to encourage a great deal of interaction between the guests. The intention is to encourage guests to discover the space as they move around, find seating in different areas throughout the evening and “forage” for their next course or beverage as they meet and interact with others.
Service away from the food stations and bar will be limited to clearing plates, napkins and silverware and distributing fresh local spring water to picnic tables, cocktail tables, bars and enhanced railings on the bridge.
An collection of amuse bouché will be passed for the first hour. 4 elegant gourmet stations will be set up to feature the finest FRESH, NATURAL AND LOCAL vegetables, salads, meats, seafood, pastas, cheeses and desert. The Raw Bar will be converted to a desert station at 8pm. See the MENU section for details on the food & drink on offer.
A signature cocktail, wine and/or a featured beer will be presented to every guest the moment they set foot on the bridge. The bars will each be open for the entire event. Please DO NOT Bring Your Own Beverages.
Something different every time. Acoustic and or lightly amplified tunes will come and go so as not overwhelm the sounds of the river, forest and fields around us.
